I am excited to soon offer individual oil-on-canvas art classes for those who would like to explore and develop their creativity in a personalised setting. These one-on-one sessions will be suitable for beginners with guidance tailored to each student’s skill level and artistic goals. Classes will focus on painting techniques, colour mixing, composition, and building confidence in creating original artwork. Past Projects
I had the absolute pleasure of being the recipient of two truly stunning paintings created by an amazing artist, Jacqui Steenkamp. I’ve known Jacqui for several years and when we established our guesthouse, Nala’s Rest in Marloth Park, I asked Jacqui to create something special for us. While I had two specific trees in mind, Jacqui’s creative and personal touch brought these pieces to life.
The first piece, an elegant umbrella tree, is captivating. It beautifully reflects the light, structure, and distinctive shape of this beloved Lowveld tree, adding a sense of depth and character to our dining room.
The second piece, a magnificent baobab tree, captures the quiet majesty and timeless presence of one of Africa’s most iconic trees. We recently received this second piece and look forward to placing it in its official space in our guesthouse.
Both artworks complement each other’s, and the guesthouse’s, tones and colours perfectly, creating an atmosphere that feels connected to nature and true to Marloth Park’s unique charm.
We couldn’t be happier with the result and would highly recommend Jacqui to anyone looking for meaningful, high-quality artwork, with a personal touch.
